Conference and Meeting Venues in North Yorkshire

The size and facilities of conference and meeting venues in North Yorkshire can vary vastly but that means you should be able to find the right one for your needs. As England’s largest county, North Yorkshire has a wealth of sites ideal for meetings and conferences, from purpose-built centres that accommodate thousands of guests, to stately homes, historic venues and quirky, unique buildings.

The spa town of Harrogate is one of the many places in North Yorkshire to offer a great range of conference and meeting venues. And if you and your delegates have time either before or after your conference or meeting, it’s definitely worth taking a moment to enjoy the town’s many attractions.

A popular visitor destination in its own right, Harrogate combines the quaintness of a spa town with the vibrancy of a larger town or city. The town centre has two cinemas, dozens of restaurants and cafes – including the famous Bettys Tea Rooms – the municipal Valley Gardens, and The Stray, a large area of public parkland which is protected from development by a bye-law dating back hundreds of years.

If you have a chance to venture further afield, you’ll find that Harrogate is on the doorstep of some stunning visitor attractions such as Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks.

Harrogate is also home to thousands of businesses, from SMEs to multinational corporations which have chosen to base their HQs in the town for its combination of good transport links with a more sedate atmosphere than you’ll find in larger towns and cities.

Here at The Lawrance, we offer meeting and conference facilities in the town centre which are ideal for smaller groups. Our conference room seats up to 12 delegates, and is available for hire at a competitive rate. The fees are:

Half day – £60 (4 hours)
Full day – £120 (8 hours 9am – 5pm)

Facilities included in the above rates are Wifi and a flipchart stand. A screen and overhead projector are also available for use. Our conference room is self-serviced, so we do not include staffing in any of the above rates. However, if staffing is required, this can be arranged.

Unlimited tea and coffee is available from £2.25 per delegate, and outsourced catering can also be provided, including breakfast, lunch and dinner options. These can be prepared and ready for your meeting, with prices dependent upon choices. Catering quotations can be given as part of the reservation. Our serviced apartments, Harrogate, are ideal for people visiting the town on business too.
